A group is working toward a cooperative purchase of the multi-use Chubby Muffin building at 88 Oak Street in Burlington’s Old North End.
The effort was spearheaded by Matt Cropp from the Vermont Employee Ownership Center and committed community members.
The plan includes Poppy operating during the day, a second restaurant for dinner, a small market for house-made wares, and shared capacity for other small food businesses.
